Why We Built This.

Two athletes who got tired of waiting to feel okay again.

I've spent most of my life in the pool. Selected for Australia at U16 level, captained Knox in water polo — recovery wasn't something I thought about until it became the thing standing between me and the next session.

Training six days a week, the soreness compounds. You're not recovering between sessions, you're just managing fatigue. I'd see athletes at the level above me using clinic-grade compression gear and think — why does this only exist behind a $150-a-session price tag, locked inside a physio clinic you can only get to twice a week?

Recovery isn't rest. It's the other half of training.

That question became RF Recovery. Built with my co-founder Evan, the goal was simple: take the same pneumatic compression technology elite programs use, and make it something you actually own — sitting in your gym bag, ready every night, not gatekept behind an appointment.

What Happens After Training

Hard training creates microscopic damage in muscle fibers. Inflammation follows. The body responds by repairing tissue stronger than before — but only if recovery actually happens. The 24 to 48 hours after a hard session is the window where adaptation is built or lost.

How Compression Accelerates Recovery

External compression pushes blood and lymphatic fluid through the working muscles, flushing metabolic byproducts and delivering fresh oxygen. Pressure cycling — alternating zones of compression — mimics the natural muscle pump that recovery normally relies on, accelerated three to four times over.

Pre-training

Pre-Training Activation

10 minutes of light compression at the lowest intensity setting. Use it 30-60 minutes before your session to wake up circulation, raise tissue temperature, and prime the lower body for output without inducing any fatigue.

Post-training

Post-Training Flush

20-30 minute full cycle at medium-high intensity within the first hour after training. Targets lactate clearance, reduces inflammation, and accelerates the transition from a depleted state to recovery.

Game day

Game Day Protocol

15 minutes pre-game at low intensity to activate without fatiguing. 30 minutes post-game at medium-high intensity, prioritising the lower limbs. Use again the next morning to compress two days of recovery into one.

How often should I use them?
Most athletes see results with 4-6 sessions per week. Use after hard training, before competition, or on rest days.
Can I use them every day?
Yes. Daily use is safe and recommended during heavy training blocks. Alternate intensity levels day to day to match what your legs need.
What intensity should I start at?
Four pressure levels, from light flush to deep compression. Start at lower pressures to get a feel for the first few sessions, then dial up as your legs adapt.
Can I travel with them?
The boots fold flat and the controller fits in a carry-on. Battery lasts about three sessions per charge. Plug in at the hotel and you're set for the trip.
